I created a server from my Linode panel. Then I add this server from here. After I did the proxies were created. After I try one of them I couldn't connected the proxy. Could you please help?
Awesome! This question has already 5 answers..
Hello Hamza,
The problem is, that Merchant Tools has never been tested on Linode before, so Im working on some modifications, so IPv6 generator will work also on Linode servers.
But right now I need your help, (this will be always required for all Linode servers in future) please go to your Linode dashboard and disable Auto configure networking on your server!
After this will be done, please reply to this question, so I can continue in debugging!

Ok I have created ticket on Linode, because there are some problems that need to be responded by Linode staff. For now, I have refunded $1 fee for your linode installation and I recommand you to remove this server until I make new template just for Linode. For now you can go with VULTR for Vultr you can add dedicated server via merchant tool, that will support ipv6 addresses generator or you can create VULTR IPv6 instances via Cloud Tool. Once I do make support for Linude on Merchant Tools, I will reply to this Question. Also you should remove this server from "My Servers".
You should open a support ticket for add IPv6 Range.
In your linode click the "Network" and then click "add ip address".
Then a section will be open and under the IPv6 click "support ticket" and open a ticket.
Name is IPv6 and write "I want to open IPv6 Range in my linode"
they will respond "/56 or /64 do you want?"
Respond them tu "/64" and they will activate /64 IPv6 range.
Thank you Hamza for you reply! I have confirmed that Linode is working for IPv6 Proxy Generator by following your guide above.
I will try here recap this:
Case:
Hamza want to create IPv6 Proxies on Linode, this can be done currently only via Merchat Tools.
If you purchase server on Linode, you get Ipv6 Address something like: 2600:3c08::f02c:98ff:fed8:ad42/64
But if you at this point install Linode server via Merchat Tools. Your IPv6 Addresses will NOT WORK.
This is simply because they gave you IPv6 Address without Range.
So basically you need to follow above steps by Hamza, so Linode Support will assign you IPv6 Range.
Once done, you can finally install Server via Merchant Tool - IPv6 Proxy Generator. So you may be able to setup couple of thousends IPv6 Proxies on single server.
Please note, when you are adding server via Merchant Tools, make sure you are submitting IPv6 range, not IPv6 Address, so for example you need to insert 2600:3c02:e000:03h5::/64 not 2600:3c02::f04c:92ff:fdu8:af32/64
Also I have said above that you have to disable Auto configure networking But that is not true, Auto Configuration networking must be ON!
So basically all this is about request range by Linode and for this reason its not possible for me to implement IPv6 generator for Cloud Tools, just because it will not work, only way how to generate IPv6 Proxies on Linode is via Merchant Tools.
This question is now closed, because its solved.
